Turkey Day 2020?! (also known as Food Coma Day)

Did anyone else only just now remember that Thanksgiving is a thing or was that just me? 👀

I’m not sure about you, but I have no idea what I’m even doing this year, HA.🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve cooked Thanksgiving dinner before, but this was supposed to be my first year hosting. Whomp whomp. So this year I’m “hosting” my own little family. I’m going to attempt a whole ass turkey dinner with all of the things. Cranberry dressing, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, candied yams, dinner rolls, mac & cheese, cornbread… Oh, and turkey. Suddenly that’s beginning to look like a lot of things. I guess that’s what happens when you combine two vastly different food backgrounds & both refuse to stand down. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

We’ll both be doing a lot of the cooking together though, so fingers crossed it won’t feel like such a massive undertaking. I’ve also mapped out a rough idea for our Turkey Day that includes a simple prep timeline for all our dishes. Looking at this makes my brain feel better.

Knowing me I probably forgot some stuff. But oh well! This year has been one big wing-it. Maybe I’ll learn a thing or two & report back.
