Homemade Herb Salt

Homemade Herb Salt, straight from the garden to this repurposed pesto jar.

It’s always the same story with herbs- either you have too many or not enough! Or maybe you’re like me and forget about them in the back of your fridge for, like, months and then wonder wtf that weird smell is. Hashtag oops.

Enter herb salt. You can have all the savory-flavory goodness of fresh herbs without dealing with their fickle ass nature. Also, salt is involved which just makes everything 10x tastier.

Homemade Herb Salt

  • 1/2 cup loosely packed fresh herbs, finely chopped (I used rosemary, thyme, sage, and dried lemon peel)

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt

Instructions:

  • gently wash herbs with this all-natural produce wash and dry

  • finely chop herbs & measure out 1/2 cup, loosely packed

  • combine herbs & salt in the food processor & pulse until both are generally uniform in size, careful to avoid making a paste.

  • store in the fridge for 1 year.

Use this to season your meals & bring the flavor of fresh herbs to your dishes all year long!
