This ONE habit transformed me from a frazzled single mom to a fulfilled one
The ONLY thing I did to start feeling truly fulfilled in motherhood?
I started being the mother of the Best Kid Ever.
…What?
I sat down and made a list of qualities I believed I would have as the mother of the Best Kid Ever.
For some reason we think our circumstances need to change first.
But we’re the parents.
We set the precedent.
For example, if I was the Best Mom Ever…
✨ I would be so SO patient, even at 3am (I am a monster if you wake me in the middle of the night 😬)
🥐 I would cook brunch & bake cinnamon rolls with her help while we loudly sing & dance around to her favorite K-Pop on the weekends.
🍂 I would feel comfortable going places with her because I would trust my parenting, and trust her to listen. (Side note: she’s always been a fantastic listener, it was my own agoraphobia that kept us indoors)
🍄 I would say “yes” to playtime & crafts waay more often than I said “no.”
So I made my list. (It’s way longer irl, I can share it if you’d like 😅)
And I started earnestly “being” this woman.
No matter what.
I started mothering like I truly believed I had the Best Kid Ever.
Because I always did. I just had to become the mother who aligned with it in order to appreciate it.
So what do you do to align?
👉 You start cultivating the qualities you believe the mom of the Best Kid(s) Ever would have because -spoiler alert- you DO have the Best Kid(s) Ever.
Because they’re yours.
👉 How to you begin cultivating these qualities?
☕️ By filling your own cup first— the RIGHT way.
🍂 You do this by freeing yourself from guilt & shame, perfectionism, and the worn out patriarchal ‘motherhood is martyrdom/true love is self-sacrifice’ tropes.
❤️🔥 By pursuing your own wholeness, your own pleasure, your own identity outside of motherhood.
🌼 By reparenting your own inner little girl.
We can cover ALL of these things & more together in 1:1 coaching.
You can truly become the Best Mom Ever.
You can truly become the most fulfilled you ever. (Your Selfiest Self)
I will forever stand on the hill of authenticity/self love/pleasure as THE key to success in every area of your life. 🗝️
Pictured: Little Po & I made pickles this weekend! She made classic sweet pickles (she’s still a little picky when it comes to new flavors) and I made my locally infamous (“local” meaning just my household 🤣) ‘Sweetie Picks’ refrigerator pickle recipe. The recipe is locked tight in the vault, but you can probably guess the ingredients from this picture if you’re a seasoned pickler 😉)
